ViaSat / SkyVista satellite Internet systems consist of your choice of a 1.0m,1.2m or 1.8m satellite dish mounted on a pole or "ground" mount, or on a non-penetrating roof mount A 2 watt or 4 watt transmitter / receiver unit is located on the satellite dish arm, and a Surf Beam indoor unit (modem) is placed somewhere inside. ViaSat / SkyVista satellite systems require a dual run of RG6 SCC coaxial cable (one for transmit, one for receive) that connects the transmitter / receiver to the modem.  The modem then connects to a computer network hub or to a wired or wireless router via an Ethernet connection. As with any high speed Internet service, Internet speeds, bandwidths and capabilities depends upon the monthly service package you choose.
