Skype is a computer / headset based VOIP service, similar to Yahoo Voice, Net2Phone, etc. and probably the fastest growing VOIP service that uses your computer and optional headset for calling.

Unlike others in the same market, Skype offers the ability to provide you with an optional phone number for incoming calling capabilities, voice-mail features and more!

Skype will also usually work on smaller broadband packages where others struggle.   We have used Skype over the HughesNet Residential Satellite Internet service with some delays, but clear communications.  Faster packages should work even better.
