Our most popular product and service right: HughesNet HT2000W Gen5 Portable Satellite Internet Systems on our VAR Business Internet Platform! This system and service offer up to 25mbps x 3mbps speeds and our VAR Business Internet Platform allows you to use this equipment and service anywhere in the Continental U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as in parts of Alaska and Mexico! This system uses the Echostar 19 (E19) satellite at 97.1 West, however, it can also use the Echostar 17 (E17) satellite at 107 West in areas where E19 does not cover such as just south of Miami, FL and south of Portland, OR.
HughesNet Gen 5 Satellite Coverage Areas:
This system is NOT your typical HughesNet Consumer or Business Internet System in that THIS SYSTEM and SERVICE allows you to set-up and move this system as needed for high-speed satellite Internet Access from almost anywhere as well as maintain your own system if and when necessary! The standard HughesNet Consumer and Business Internet systems require a certified technician for installation and service!
THIS SYSTEM IS NOT SOLD OR SUPPORTED BY HUGHESNET! HUGHESNET DOES NOT ALLOW OR SUPPORT SELF-INSTALLATIONS OR PORTABLE USE, so you MUST contact us to take advantage of those options and to get into this mobile-enabled equipment and service plans! Monthly Service plans start at just $89.95 per month for 35gig of data, and we have plans that offer up to 550gig of data per month, however, even if you go over your data, you are not shut down or billed for overages, you are simply slowed down to 1 – 2mbps speeds until the end of your billing period or until you purchase more full-speed data!
This system is the first HughesNet system that properly supports streaming video like Netflix and more, assuming you have a large enough data package for doing so anyway! RV’ers and others are loving this system as do home and business owners who want to be able to control, maintain and repair their own equipment without having to wait days, weeks or months for a HughesNet Technician to get them back online!
The best part… here’s the typical process:
- You visit www.montanasatellitesupply.com and order the equipment package that best fits your needs!
- We ship the equipment out to you, or if you are in Puerto Rico or USVI, then we ship to a freight forwarder of your choice in Florida!
- We email you information, links, videos, and instructions for assembly, setup, and commissioning and you can check out our HughesNet Gen5 Support Page for this and more information!
- You receive the equipment, assemble the equipment, and get it setup and pointed! (We can guide you through this process as well or find an installer for you!)
- You select a monthly service plan and fill out our account request form and a Credit Card Authorization Form for the monthly service billing!
- We provide you with a new SAN (Site account number) and PIN (Personal ID Number), usually within a few hours of your request, so that you or your installer can bring the system online!
These systems do require a 2-Year contract to service, however, you can suspend your service for up to 5 months per year at a cost of $20 per month, or you can pay a $400 up-front contract cancellation fee and use it as you need it, a month here or there! (some terms and conditions apply)
HughesNet Gen5 Satellite Internet Equipment
This is the HT2000W Satellite Modem / Router that features dual-band A/C wireless router and a 4-port hub!
Here are some photos of our .98m fiber satellite dish used with these systems mounted on one of our flat non-penetrating mounts that are included in our portable kit!
We also offer a metal .90m satellite dish, however, we are currently shipping the .98m fiber antennas until they are gone!
The transmitter/LNB is not installed in these photos and most of our customers just toss a couple of concrete blocks or sandbags or buckets of water on this mount to secure it in case of high-winds!
Here’s a picture of this mount with a couple of Home Depot Buckets on it for ballast and to give you an idea of the size of the outdoor unit!
It seems huge, but the antenna is 39″ x 39″ and comes apart easily for storage and transport! The flat non-pen mount comes apart with 3 bolts for easy storage as well!
Here is a system installed with concrete blocks as ballast at an oil well site where it will be used for 6 – 8 months and then moved to the next site:
Our portable systems include either the flat non-pen mount or a trimast wall/roof mount as well as 50′ of RG6 3ghz coaxial cable, as well as a DAPT2 Signal Meter that, although not required for pointing anymore, assists you and simplifies the pointing process! You can choose to purchase longer cable, up to 150′ if necessary!
This system is very easy to setup and point! Most of our customers estimate that it takes them 20 minutes to pull out the mount, antenna, etc. and get everything set up, connected, pointed and online!
This system is a great upgrade to the HughesNet Gen3 HN7000s Systems and the HughesNet Gen4 HN9000 systems! It’s much easier to move around, set up and point also!
Perfect for Home or Business use as well!
These systems and services are being used at fixed locations as well! HughesNet Consumer and HughesNet Business Internet Systems come with strict guidelines, policies, and procedures that often disqualify many customers from getting the standard HughesNet offerings! Because we (Montana Satellite) are offering these systems and supporting these systems and our customers ourselves, we are allowed to make exceptions and get past some of those strict installation guidelines and install these systems where the standard HughesNet systems were not allowed! This is a HughesNet Gen5 Satellite Internet system installed on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands! This customer ordered our fixed trimast wall/roof mount instead of the flat non-penetrating mount! You can order these systems from us without a mount, with a flat non-pen mount, with a trimast wall/roof mount, or with one of our many other ridge-roof or custom mounting solutions!
Side note… if you just want satellite Internet service at your home or business and do not want or need the ability to self-install or move around or maintain your own system, then you can save some money by getting into the standard HughesNet Consumer or HughesNet Business Internet Systems! The Consumer plans come with equipment promotions and free standard professional installation typically as well! Contact us for more information or to order!
Maybe the HughesNet HN7000s system is a better solution for your needs?
We also still offer the HughesNet HN7000s Satellite Internet Systems and Services that are also self-installable and portable on our VAR Business Internet Platform! They are not as fast as the newer HughesNet Gen5 Systems and Service with our basic plan offering up to 1mb x 200k speeds for $99 – $109 per month, but sometimes speed isn’t the most important factor and they are still very popular for various reasons including:
- A much larger service area to include the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Haiti, Cuba, the Bahamas, and more!
- Any Uploaded data is not included in the daily or monthly data caps
- Free upload/download times from 2am – 7am where nothing counts against your daily data cap
- No $20 monthly suspension fees required, you simply pay $99 for service under a 2-year contract or you pay $109 for month-to-month service
- You can suspend service up to 5 months per year at no cost!
Contact us for more information if you feel the HughesNet HN7000s system may be a better solution for you!
We offer several different equipment configurations:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are currently shipping the .98m fiber antennas instead of the .90m metal antennas! This is subject to change without notice!
